Upwards of three-fifths of a ream

The light at the end of the tunnel just got a little brighter.
Now all I need is a fifth or two of something else.

  1. Yeah! That will pass the committee's heft test for sure. Well done. The Brek distellery bourbon is also excellent for a final celebration

Thanks, Tarik. I'm not sure if a thesis-mass-versus-chance-of-committee-approval equation has ever been defined. Sounds like a recommendation for future research if there ever was one.

Thanks for the Brek suggestion. I'm game for sampling bourbon from just about any small distillery. Quality over quantity rings truer the older I get.

  3. One of the many low points near the end of my dissertation is when I handed a draft to my adviser and he hefted it subtly and grunted dismissively and then suggested I expand my literature search section before he even looked at it.

Also try the Montanya Rum out of CB, it is aged in Stranahan barrels and you can taste it on the rum I think. Very pleasant and extremely reasonably priced.

  4. Man, that would be so demoralizing. I've been fortunate to have a terrific adviser, not that I haven't written and rewritten sections for what seems like ages. If I had known you were Dr. Saleh a couple of years ago, I might've asked you to be on my committee. I don't know what your area of focus is, but your bike background would have been more than enough for you to contribute meaningfully.

I will definitely seek out some Montanya Rum. There are so many great small batch productions around here, it's hard to keep up. Having a personal recommendation helps narrow down the priorities.
